Checking for Updates

Specify that the application check for updates every 30 days, or check manually.

To check for updates automatically:

  1. Click Tools > Options.
  2. On the General tab, select Check for service pack updates every 30 days, then click OK.

To check for updates manually:

  1. Click Help > Check for Updates.

Service Pack Downloads

If a later service pack is detected, a Service Pack Available message appears with the number of the new service pack and an option to download.

  • Yes. Takes you to the download page on the SOLIDWORKS web site.
  • No. The message box closes and the count to 30 days continues if the automatic check is enabled.
