Electronic components are sensitive to shock loads. In this lesson, you examine the shock load experienced by a computer hard drive falling from a height of 3 meters onto a rigid floor. To protect against shock loads, the hard drive is enclosed in a foam material made of high-density polyethylene.

In this lesson you learn the following:
- Setting up the drop test study and result options
- Finding contact sets and defining contact conditions
- Measuring the acceleration due to impact
