1-D Transient Thermal Analysis with Varying Heat Generation

Subject the rectangular plate (0.01 m x 0.001 m) to zero flux at its left-hand end, constant temperature of 0 °C at its right-hand end, uniform initial temperature followed by a step change to constant internal heat generation. Determine the temperature at x = 0.005 m.

In the model, T = 0 °C everywhere at time = 0 and internal heat generation for time t > 0 = 107(1 + 0.005 t).
