Assigning Initial Temperature to Assembly Components

You assign an initial temperature of 300 K to all assembly components.

To assign initial temperature:

  1. In the Simulation study tree, right-click the Thermal Loads icon in the Transient study and select Temperature .
    The Temperature PropertyManager appears.
  2. Under Type, select Initial temperature.
  3. Click all assembly components appearing in the flyout FeatureManager design tree.
    Selected components appear in the Faces, Edges, Vertices, Components for Temperature box .
  4. Under Temperature, type 300 in the value box and select Kelvin as the units.
  5. Click PM_OK.gif.
    The program assigns the specified temperature and creates an icon in the Thermal Loads folder.
