Linking Load Definitions to Parameters

You link the loads transferred to the frame to predefined parameters. These parameters can then be used as variables in a Design Study.

On the Partial study tab, under External Loads , right-click Part Rider Weight-1 and click Edit Definition .
In the PropertyManager, under Force, set Normal to Plane to Link value.
The force is transferred from the bike's seat due to the rider's weight.
In the Select Parameter dialog box, click Rider_Seat_Weight, and click OK.
In the Select Parameters dialog box, select Rider_Seat_Load and click OK.
The rider's weight is defined as a parameter with an initial value of 70 kgf. You can use this load as a variable in the Design Study.
In the Force/Torque PropertyManager, click .
Link the magnitudes for the remaining load definitions to predefined parameters according to the table below:

Part Rider Weight-2 Left_Handle_Force

Part Rider Weight-3 Right_Handle_Force

Pedal Force-2 Right_Pedal_Force

Pedal Force-3 Left_Pedal_Force
