Applying a Symmetry Condition to the Boundary Edges

You can model a quarter of the plate by applying symmetry restraints on the two boundary edges.

1. In the nonlinear study tree, right-click the Fixtures icon and select Advanced Fixtures.
2. Set the Type to Symmetry.
3. For Planar Faces, or Linear or Planar Edges on Shell for Fixture , select the two edges that are the cut boundaries of the quarter model.
