The seat is a thin solid with uniform thickness. Such bodies can be converted into sheet metal parts to simplify analysis. Convert the thin solid body representing the seat using the Insert Bends tool.
In general, very thick solids give inaccurate results when converted to shell elements. For this particular model, the largest thickness to span ratio is close to 0.05, so a thick shell formulation is applicable.
