Creating a Static Study

  1. Browse to drive letter:\Users\Public\Public Documents\SOLIDWORKS\SOLIDWORKS version\samples\Simulation Examples\Crank.SLDASM and open the file.
  2. Click New Study (Simulation CommandManager).
  3. Under General Simulation, click Static .
  4. In the PropertyManager, under Name enter Static-2.
  5. Click .
    For assembly documents, the Parts folder in the Simulation study tree contains an icon for each component in the assembly. A Global Interaction (-Bonded-Meshed Independently-) icon also appears under Component Interactions in the Connections folder in the Simulation study tree. By default, the software assumes that assembly components are bonded at their initial areas of contact.
