Defining the Plunger As a Pin Connector You define a pin that connects the plunger and the mounting_bracket components. The pin is free to translate in the axial direction and has a high rotational stiffness. In the Simulation study tree, right-click the Connections folder and select Pin. In the PropertyManager, under Type: Select the cylindrical face of the plunger for Cylindrical Faces/Edges . Select the inner cylindrical face of the end extrusion for Cylindrical Faces/Edges . Under Type, clear both options. Under Connection Type, select Distributed. Under Options: Select English (IPS) in Unit . Make sure that the Axial Stiffness is set to zero. Type 1e6 for Rotational Stiffness . Click .
