Defining a Quarter Symmetry Control You add a quarter symmetry control that guides the optimization algorithm to find symmetric solutions for the optimized geometry. A quarter symmetry control enforces that the optimized geometry is symmetric with respect to two orthogonal planes. In the Optimization study tree, right-click Manufacturing Controls , and select Specify Symmetry Plane(s) . In the PropertyManager: For Type, select Quarter Symmetry. Click in Select First Symmetry Plane , and from the brake rotor flyout FeatureManager design tree, select First Symmetry. Click in Select Second Symmetry Plane , and select Second Symmetry. The part is shown in Isometric view orientation. Click . Parent topicTopology Optimization of a Disk Brake Previous topic Defining a De-mold Manufacturing Control Next topic Defining Preserved Regions
