You define a fatigue study and set its properties.
-
Right-click on a Simulation study tab and select Create New Simulation Study.
- In the PropertyManager:
- Under Type, select Fatigue
.
- Under Name, type a name for the study, for example, Fatigue 1.
- Click
.
The program creates the Fatigue 1 study tab. The fatigue study is based on a constant amplitude event with defined cycles.
- In the Simulation study tree, right-click Fatigue 1
and select Properties.
- In the dialog box, do the following:
- In the Constant amplitude event interaction, click Random interaction.
- In the Computing alternating stress using box, click Equivalent stress (von Mises).
- In the Fatigue strength reduction factor (Kf) box, type 1.0.
- Click OK.
