Design Tables

In this lesson, you use a design table to create several variations of a part.

Use the sample part, tutor1.SLDPRT, you have completed from Lesson 1 - Parts for this lesson. If not, download and extract the sample file for this tutorial:

  1. Click here to download designtables.zip to your Downloads folder.

For more information on downloading and managing sample files, see Sample Files.

  2. Browse to the Downloads folder and extract designtables.zip to a convenient location.

For example, to organize your tutorial sample files, create a folder in your Documents folder named tutorial_files. Then extract into that folder to create a subfolder named designtables that contains a SOLIDWORKS part file named tutor1.SLDPRT.

To use a design table, you must have Microsoft Excel on your computer.
