Recognizing Patterns

  1. Under Recognized Features:
    1. Press Ctrl + select the four cut extrudes shown from the list.
    2. Click Find Patterns.
      The Pattern Recognition PropertyManager appears.
  2. Under Pattern Recognition Mode, select Automatic.
  3. Under Pattern Type, select Circular.
  4. Click .
    A message reports two circular patterns found.
  5. Click OK.
    In the Intermediate Stage PropertyManager, CirPattern1 and CirPattern2 are listed.
  6. Click and click OK.
  7. Select any face inside the housing such as the one shown.
  8. In the PropertyManager, under Interactive Features, select Cut Extrude in Feature type and clear Recognize similar.
  9. Click Recognize.
    FeatureWorks recognizes the inside cut extrude.
  10. Do not close the PropertyManager.
