Creating the Grip

Now you create the grip of the knob.

1. Click Right on the Heads-up View toolbar.
2. Select the Right plane in the FeatureManager design tree, then click Extruded Boss/Base on the Features tab to open a sketch.
3. Sketch four lines approximately as shown to create the profile. Do not create any inferenced angle relations between lines.

   

4. Add a Collinear relation between the vertical sketch line and the model edge as shown.
   

   To add a Collinear relation, press Ctrl, select the vertical sketch line, and the model edge. Then in the PropertyManager, under Add Relations, select Collinear.
5. Dimension the line using the origin as shown.
   
6. Dimension as shown.

   

7. Click Exit Sketch (Sketch tab).
8. In the PropertyManager, under Direction 1:
   1. Select Blind in End Condition.
   2. Set Depth to 5.
9. Click to create the extrude.
