Setting Up the Miter Flange Click Miter Flange (Sheet Metal tab). Select the inside vertical edge as shown to create a sketch plane normal to the selected edge with its origin at the closest endpoint of the edge. Make sure to select the upper portion of the edge. The view orientation changes to the bottom. Click Zoom to Area (Heads-up View toolbar) and zoom to the sketch origin. Starting at the origin, sketch as shown. Horizontal Line (Sketch tab), with an approximate length of 20. Tangent Arc (Sketch tab), with an approximate radius of 10. Line (Sketch tab) tangent to the arc, with an approximate length of 6. indicates tangency.
