Working with Drawing Frames and Title Blocks

At any state of the design process, you can add Frames and Title Blocks to your drawings in Model mode, as well as in Sheet mode.

The software provides a set of predefined Frames and Title Blocks for each engineering standard. The set of corresponding drawings is available on the installation drive, in the following folders:

  • Frames: ..\Program Files\Dassault Systemes\DraftSight Mechanical\Default Files\Drawing Components\Frames
  • Title Blocks: ..\Program Files\Dassault Systemes\DraftSight Mechanical\Default Files\Drawing Components\Title Blocks

You can change the default location for Frame and Title Block files in the Options dialog box. Also, you can add as many locations as necessary.

If necessary, you can add to your drawing more than one Frame with Title Block.

The following tools are available for working with Frames and Title Blocks:

  • Insert Frame. Adds a Frame with Title Block in a specified rectangular area.
  • Edit Frame. Lets you specify another Frame and Title Block or rescale the existing ones.

You can specify or change the active standard in the Toolbox - Standards dialog box. All available standards provide Frames and Title Blocks.
