Toolbox - Settings Dialog Box: Holes

Use the Holes category of the Toolbox - Settings dialog box to access and configure holes provided by Toolbox and insert them into drawings.

To display hole settings:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • On the ribbon, select Mechanical Content > Settings.
    • On the menu, click Mechanical Content > Settings.
    • On the Mechanical toolbar, click Settings .
  2. In the Toolbox - Settings dialog box, click Holes.

To modify hole settings during creation:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • On the ribbon, select Mechanical Content > Holes > Insert.
    • On the menu, click Mechanical Content > Holes > Insert.
    • On the Mechanical toolbar, click Holes .
    • Type AM_HoleFeat.
  2. In the Toolbox - Holes dialog box, select a hole category and click Settings.
  3. Specify settings and click OK to return to the Toolbox - Holes dialog box to configure and insert holes.

General

The following settings are available for all categories of hardware:

Option Description
Create as block Creates the hole in the drawing as a 1:1 block.
When cleared, the hole is created as an individual entity.
It is recommended that you select Create as block so that Toolbox recognizes the component when you edit the entity or create a bill of materials.

Access
