Inserting Revision Symbols

After you insert a revision, you can insert one or more symbols that link to that revision. The symbol is a triangle containing the revision number of the most recently added revision row.

You can insert revision symbols on the sheet that contains the active revision table or on the Model tab if it contains a revision table. You can also insert revision symbols in other drawing sheets if they contain a table that references the active revision table.

To insert revision symbols:

  1. Click Insert Revision Symbol (Mechanical toolbar) or Mechanical Annotate > Revision Table > Insert Revision Symbol.

The revision symbol appears in the graphics area, in the cross hairs of the tracker.

  2. Locate the revision symbol by clicking in the graphics area or by typing coordinates in the Command window and pressing Enter.
  3. To add additional revision symbols, repeat step 2.
