Editing Surface Finish Symbols

At any time, you can configure requirements for surface finish to meet specifications and use of surface finish symbols on technical drawings.

Use the AM_SurfaceSymbolEdit command to modify a surface finish symbol. As you configure the properties, the surface finish symbol on the drawing area changes in real time.

To edit a specified surface finish symbol:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • On the ribbon, click Mechanical Annotate > Symbols > Surface Finish > Edit.
    • On the menu, click Mechanical Annotate >Symbols > Surface Finish > Edit.
    • Type AM_SurfaceSymbolEdit.
  2. In the graphics area, specify a surface finish symbol.
  3. In the Surface Finish dialog box the surface texture requirements to display in a surface finish symbol.

    Alternatively, you can double-click the symbol to open the Surface Finish dialog box.

  4. Click OK.

Command: AM_SurfaceSymbolEdit

Menu: Mechanical Annotate > Symbols > Surface Finish > Edit

Ribbon: Mechanical Annotate > Symbols > Surface Finish > Edit
