Editing Welding Symbols

At any time, you can configure weld requirements to meet specifications and use of weld symbols on technical drawings. The Welding dialog box lets you configure welding symbols that describe the type of welds, their sizes, and other processing and finishing information.

Use the AM_WeldingSymbolEdit command to modify a welding symbol. As you configure the properties, the welding symbol on the drawing area changes in real time.

To edit a specified welding symbol:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • On the ribbon, click Mechanical Annotate > Symbols > Welding > Edit.
    • On the menu, click Mechanical Annotate > Symbols > Welding > Edit.
    • Type AM_WeldingSymbolEdit.
  2. In the graphics area, specify a welding symbol.
  3. In the Welding dialog box specify the requirements to display in a welding symbol.

    Alternatively, you can double-click the symbol to open the Welding dialog box.

  4. Click OK.

Command: AM_WeldingSymbolEdit

Menu: Mechanical Annotate > Symbols > Welding > Edit

Ribbon: Mechanical Annotate > Symbols > Welding > Edit
