Drawing Compare

You can use Drawing Compare to compare all entities between two drawing documents.

Differences

The differences between the drawings are displayed in color codes. You can change the color codes.

Clouds

Clouds highlight the entities in drawings with the selected display color.

Filters

You can apply filters for Hatch and Notes to be displayed in Statistics.

Statistics

Displays entities types in drawings, their missing count, and extra count. Missing Count displays the count of entities that are available in the loaded drawing. Minus sign indicates that they are not present in the current drawing. Extra Count displays the count of entities that are available in the current drawing.

Using Drawing Compare

  • To use Drawing Compare:

    1. Open the drawing file.
    2. To open the Drawing Compare pane, do one of the following:
      • On the ribbon, from Drafting and Annotation, click Powertools > Drawing Compare.
      • On the ribbon, from Classic, click Tools > Drawing Compare.
    3. In the Drawing Compare pane, click Load file .
      The Open dialog box opens.
    4. In the Open dialog box, select the drawing to compare with the current drawing.
    5. In the Drawing Compare pane, click Toggles the comparision .
      The differences in the entities between the two drawings are displayed in the graphics area.
