Specifying the Sheets to Include in Drawing Sheet Set

This page lets you specify the drawings containing the sheets to include in the drawing sheet set.

Specifying one folder that contains drawings groups all sheets from all drawings in one drawing sheet set. However, you can deselect the drawings and sheets that you do not want to include. Additional import options lets you prefix the sheets and automatically organize the sheets in subsets according to the folder structure. For more clarity, add the drawing file name to the sheet name.

Note: One drawing can be used in only one drawing sheet set.

After creating the drawing sheet set, you can always reorganize your drawing sheets using the Sheet Set Manager.

To specify the sheet folder:

  1. In the Create Drawing Sheet Set wizard, click Next repeteadly until you reach the Choose Sheets page.
  2. Click Browse.
  3. Navigate to the folder that contains the drawings containing the sheets and click Open.

The drawings from the folder appear in the list.

Note: Drawings that are in use are not displayed in the list.

  4. Select the sheets to include in the drawing sheet set.

Note: If your drawings include multiple sheets, they appear in the list.

  5. Optionally, click Import Options and specify the suitable options:
    • Prefix drawing sheet title with file name. Adds the drawing file name to the name of each sheet from the drawing sheet set.
    • Create subsets based on folder structure. Creates a subset for each specified sub folder from the list. Subsets are similar to folders and help you organize your sheets in the drawing sheet list. Optionally, select Ignore top level folder if you choose not to create a subset for the main folder from which you are importing the drawing sheets.
  6. Click Next.
