A
Change
Action is an action that defines the main objective of the modifications
that must be performed on objects related to that particular action. You can open data from
Product Structure Editor in SOLIDWORKS, perform
your modifications, and save it
under
the opened Change
Action.
When you select a change action for an object, you can track the
modifications performed on the object. You can view various objects that are associated
with a change action
under
change management app.
You must
have the
CHG - Change management role to access the change action
option.
When
you are working in the change action that is not associated with the object or status of
the change action is not In Work, you cannot use following
options:
- Insert
- Delete
- Replace
- Reparent
- Revise
- New
- Modify
If you exit SOLIDWORKS and restart it, you can work on the same action as
before.
If
you want to stop working on the same action, you must deactivate that
action. You can select only one change action per SOLIDWORKS session.
You can use change action from Product Structure Editor app.
You cannot
use the
Evolution option under (icon).
The
change action is not
affected
when you open SOLIDWORKS data that is in
a
session
from Product Structure Editor.
