software OpenGL option can help you view CAD models if your graphics card is
outdated.

option, with no documents open, click .
When to use the
Use software
OpenGL
option:
- Your computer has a very old Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) or
no GPU at all (For example, software emulation on a VDI).
- To diagnose a GPU issue (driver or hardware). If the action
works in software OpenGL, it indicates that the driver or the GPU is at
fault.
Software OpenGL does not support everything. For example, it does not support
RealView graphics.
When you select
the Use

option,
it turns the following options on or off:

on:
High quality for normal view mode

If the Use software OpenGL
option is unavailable, do as follows to
make
it
available:
- In , clear Enhanced graphics performance
(requires SOLIDWORKS restart).

The

OpenGL option is only available when you turn off
enhanced graphics and no document is open.
