Profile Size for Weldments and Structure Systems

For weldments and structure systems, you can select the size of the profile from design tables and configuration tables.

For the configured profiles, the design table and configuration table display the Profile Size column where you can select a profile size for the configurations from the list.

To control the profile size in design tables, the column header uses the following syntax:
  • Weldments: $PROFILE_SIZE@feature_name
  • Structure systems: $PROFILE_SIZE@member_name

To specify the profile size for configurations in a design table:

  1. Open a part that has multiple configurations.
  2. Click Excel Design Table (Tools toolbar) or Insert > Tables > Excel Design Table.

    The $PROFILE_SIZE column appears where you can specify the profile size for the configurations.

To specify the profile size for configurations in a configuration table:

  1. In a part that has multiple configurations, click the ConfigurationManager tab.
  2. Expand Tables .
  3. Right-click Configuration Table and click Show Table.

    The Profile Size column appears where you can specify the profile size for the configurations.

  4. Optional: To add a weldment feature to the configuration table, right-click the feature and click Configure Feature.

    You can then select Profile Size from the list to add that column to the configuration table and specify the profile size.
