You can explode or separate a characteristic into multiple instances if
the characteristic has a quantity greater than one under Quantity in the Properties section of
the SOLIDWORKS Inspection
Manager.
During extraction,
SOLIDWORKS
Inspection creates a separate characteristic instance if:
- You
specified a quantity
in the text associated with the dimension.
- You select
Create for Each Instance in the Create Inspection Project PropertyManager.
To explode characteristics:
In the
SOLIDWORKS Inspection Manager 
, on the
Characteristic Table tab,
right-click the characteristic and click .
To merge characteristics:
- In the
SOLIDWORKS Inspection Manager , on
the Characteristic Table tab,
select all rows of the instances to merge.
All rows must have the
same Specification.
- Right-click and click .
