Automatic Collaboration Recovery in CircuitWorks

You can resume from your last ECAD or MCAD collaboration if SOLIDWORKS crashes or restarts.

Each ECAD or MCAD change, along with its corresponding ECAD or MCAD response .idx file, is saved in the EDMD Collaboration folder. You can locate the folder by:
  1. Click Tools > CircuitWorks Options
  2. Click Prostep EDMD > Shared Folder.
To resume collaboration after a crash or restart of SOLIDWORKS,
  1. Open the first .idx file (identify the baseline .idx file by its time stamp) by Tools > CircuitWorks > Open ECAD File.

  2. Select Build Model to rebuild the model in SOLIDWORKS and resume collaboration smoothly.
