Models - Relative Transforms Subtab

You can use the Relative Transform tool to adjust the position, rotation, scale, and pivot of an object. You can apply transformations uniformly or randomize them within a set range. You can access this tool by selecting multiple pattern instances or groups. Selecting Randomize assigns each object a unique value within the specified range.

Position XYZ Moves objects along the X, Y, and Z axes. the selected axis.

Selecting Randomize offsets each object randomly within +/- the value entered.

Rotation XYZ Rotates objects randomly around the selected axis.

Selecting Randomize applies a random rotation within +/- the value entered.

Scale XYZ Scales objects along a selected axis.

Values below 1.0 shrink objects between that value and 1.0. Values above 1.0 enlarge objects between 1.0 and the specified value.

Scale All Adjusts object scale uniformly in all directions.

Values below 1.0 shrink objects between that value and 1.0. Values above 1.0 enlarge objects between 1.0 and the specified value.

Pivot Center

Group

Moves the pivot point to the center of the selected group.

Environment

Moves the pivot point to the center of the environment.

Random Seed Sets a numeric value to control the randomization pattern. Each random seed generates a unique set of random values. Using the same random seed always produces the same random values. This is useful when you find a seed that gives you a result you like. You can reuse it to achieve the same outcome for a given input.
Revert Resets transformations to their previous values.
Freeze Leaves the model in place and sets all transform values to neutral. For example, Position = 0,0,0 and Size = 1.0, and so forth.
