Creating a Project Template

A project template contains all the elements (such as drawings or configurations) that were used to create the electrical project. When creating a new electrical project with this project template, you will find all the content in the project template.

To create a project template:

  1. Click Electrical project management > Save as template .
  2. Select an electrical project in the list and click Save as template icon. A dialog box opens that lets you enter the name of the project template.
    The project templates are stored in ProgramData\SOLIDWORKS Electrical\ProjectTemplate. To delete a project template, right-click it and click Delete.
