Select Bodies by Size Dialog Box

When you open multibody parts in SOLIDWORKS, you can use the Select Bodies By Size command to view discrete bodies and features of the model.

To access this dialog box:
  1. Open a multibody part.
  2. Click Tools > Selectionor right-click the Selection Tools flyout menu and click Select Bodies By Size.

Specify these options:

  Percentage of part size Selects all the bodies that are smaller than the specified percentage of the parts bounding box, Drag the slider to change the percentage.
  Dynamic selection Displays a preview of your selection on the model which dynamically updates as you change the value for Percentage of part size.
  Select parent features Selects the parent features in the FeatureManager design tree. This selects discrete features that you can then take action on, such as deleting them if they are not required. If you clear this option, the software selects only bodies.
If you import neutral-format multibody parts, to create Imported parent features , in the FeatureManager design tree, right-click the Imported part icon and click Break Link. This action cannot be undone.
Preview selection Available when Dynamic selection is cleared. Displays a preview of your selections.
  Selected Specifies the number of bodies selected.
