Trimming Complex Corners

You can trim the complex corners though Corner Management PropertyMananger or graphics area. In the graphics area, the Complex Corner Trim Combinations dialog box lets you select the appropriate combination of trim type and trim order for a complex corner.

To trim complex corners:

  1. Open a model that includes three or more intersecting members.
  2. In the FeatureManager design tree, right-click Corner Management and click Edit Feature .
    1. In the Complex tab, select a planar trim member and click Body Trim to change the trim type.
    2. Select a body trim member and click Planar Trim to change the trim type.
    3. Under Planar trim options, select First Contact planar trim or Full contact planar trim .

      You can also specify Automatic or User Defined to adjust the Trim Tool and a Gap measurement.

    4. Zoom to the intersection of the corners in the graphics area to display the trim effect.
    5. Click .
  3. Optional: To trim complex corners through the graphics area, do the following:
    1. In the graphics area, select a complex corner.
    2. In the dialog box, select options to represent the outputs of a corner based on the trim type and trim order.
    3. Click or to select additional combinations.
    4. Click .
