Configuring Eight Mouse Gestures

There are 32 preassigned commands mapped to mouse gestures in SolidWorks, one command for each of eight mouse gesture directions for drawings, parts, assemblies, and sketches. By default, 16 of the preassigned commands are available in the mouse gesture guide, four for each type of command.

You can customize mouse gestures to display eight directions per command type in the mouse gesture guide, enabling 32 mouse gesture commands.

To configure eight gestures in the mouse gesture guide:

  1. Click Tools > Customize and select the Mouse Gestures tab.

    If you cannot access the Tools > Customize option, click File > Open or File > New to open or start a new a part, assembly, or drawing.

  2. Select 8 gestures.

  3. Click OK.
