Customize Macro Button

When you create a macro, you can assign a bitmap to the macro button on the toolbar.

You can add a custom button to any toolbar as long as you assign a macro to the button.

The SolidWorks software includes sample bitmaps, or you can create your own bitmap. You can also specify which method (a procedure that operates on an object) within a macro you want to run. For more information, see the SolidWorks API Help Topics.

If you create a bitmap for a macro button, the bitmap must meet these requirements:

  • Dimension = 16 x 16 pixels

  • Color = 256 colors

  • Background color = white
