Appearances Tab

The Appearances/Scenes tab on the Task Pane contains:

Appearances

Scenes

When PhotoWorks is added in, the tab becomes the Appearances/PhotoWorks tab and includes:

Decals

Lights

Dragging

  • When you drag an appearance, scene, or decal from the Appearances tab into the graphics area, you can apply it directly to the model,  ALT-drag to open the corresponding PropertyManager or dialog box. No PropertyManager appears for light schemes.

  • Dragging a light scheme into the graphics area changes the lighting scheme, it does not just add lights.

Double-clicking

  • When you double-click appearance, scene, or light files on the Appearances tab, the scenes or lights are attached to the active document.

  • When you double-click a decal, the Decal PropertyManager opens, but the decal is not inserted into the graphics area.

Saving

  • Custom Appearances. With PhotoWorks added in, save from the Color/Image tab of the Appearances PropertyManager.

  • Scenes. Save from the Manager tab of the PhotoWorks Scene Editor.

  • Lights. Save from the Lighting tab in the PhotoWorks Scene Editor.

  • Decals. Save from the Decals PropertyManager.
