Using Rapid Dimension

To use rapid dimensioning:

  1. Open install_dir\samples\whatsnew\detailing\dimension.slddrw.
  2. Click Smart Dimension (Dimensions/Relations toolbar) or Tools > Dimensions > Smart.
  3. Click the edge shown.

    The rapid dimension manipulator appears as:

  4. Click the lower portion of the rapid dimension manipulator.

    The dimension is placed below the selected edge.

  5. Click the two edges as shown, then click the lower portion of the rapid dimension manipulator.

  6. Repeat step 5 for the two edges shown.

  7. Click one of the circular edges.

    The rapid dimension manipulator appears as:

  8. Press Tab three times to switch dimension locations and press the spacebar to place the dimension.

    The dimension appears in the lower right corner.
