Troubleshooting SolidWorks eDrawings Printer Problems
Follow these instructions to troubleshoot SolidWorks eDrawings printer
problems. If you cannot resolve the printer problem after trying these
tips, contact your reseller directly, or customer support at http://www.edrawingsviewer.com/support.
If you are the recipient of an eDrawings file, report the problem to the
person who sent you the eDrawings file.
Problem: After clicking OK in the Print dialog box, it takes
a long time to print the eDrawings file.
Potential Solutions:
Print the eDrawings file in draft quality mode.
Verify that you have the latest driver for your
printer.

Problem: eDrawings stops responding
during printing.
Potential Solutions:
The process might be
running out of memory. Close other applications and try again.
If you are printing
from a 32-bit machine, try printing instead from a 64-bit machine.

Problem: Printing in shaded
mode produces a printout with 2D data (text and lines) but only partial
model or OLE object data.
Potential Solutions:
Verify that your printer’s graphics print mode is set to raster.
NOTE: Not all printers have
this option.
Refer to your printer's manual or online help for information about
how to set the graphics print mode to raster.
