Settings

The Settings PropertyManager allows you to control the display of the fringe plot, the display of the model boundary, and the display of the deformed shape of the model.

To control the display of the active plot:

  1. Activate the desired plot then do one of the following:

Click Plot Settings (Simulation CommandManager).

-or-

Click Simulation, Result Tools, Settings.

-or-

In the Simulation study tree, right-click the active plot then select Settings.

The Settings PropertyManager appears.

  1. Select from the options described below.

  2. Click .

A plot does not have to be active to change its settings. Right-click the plot icon in the Simulation study tree and select Settings.

  • Fringe Options. Sets the display of the active fringe plot.

    • Point. Uses colored point contours.

    • Line. Uses colored line contours.

    • Discrete. Uses color-filled contours with discrete shading.

    • Continuous. Uses color-filled contours with smooth shading.

  • Boundary Options.

    • None. Sets the display of the model boundary off.

    • Model. Displays the boundary edges of the model.

    • Mesh. Superimposes the selected result plot on the mesh plot.

    • For Model or Mesh, click Edit Color to change the color of the boundary.

  • Show hidden bodies. Available only when hidden bodies exist.

    • Translucent (Single color). Displays all hidden parts in a single color of your choice. You can adjust the transparency by dragging the slider.

    • Translucent (Part colors). Displays all hidden parts in their shaded mode colors. You can adjust the transparency by dragging the slider.

  • Show excluded bodies. Available only when excluded bodies exist.

    • Translucent (Single color). Displays all excluded parts in a single color of your choice. You can adjust the transparency by dragging the slider.

    • Translucent (Part colors). Displays all excluded parts in their shaded mode colors. You can adjust the transparency by dragging the slider.

  •  Deformed Plot Options.

    • Superimpose model on the deformed shape. If selected, displays the undeformed shape of the model on the deformed shape using the following settings:

      • Translucent (Single color). Allows you to select a color and set the transparency level of the model.

      • Translucent (Part colors). Allows you to set the transparency level of the model. Part colors will be used.

  • Beam diagrams options

    • Transparency. Sets the transparency level for beam diagrams.
