Tables

You can edit and navigate in tables as you do in Microsoft Excel. You can:


  • Control vertical cell padding
  • Navigate using the Enter, Tab, Arrow, Shift + Enter, Shift + Tab, Shift + Arrow, Home, Ctrl + Home, End, and Ctrl + End keys
  • Select a cell, type data, and view the data immediately in the cell, overwriting existing data
  • Press F2 in a highlighted cell to activate the cell for editing and move the cursor to the end of the text in the cell
  • Double-click a cell to move the cursor to the position where the cell was double-clicked
  • Press Alt + Enter to add multiple lines of text in a cell
  • Press Delete to erase all text from a cell without activating the cell for editing
  • Press Backspace to erase all text from a cell and activate the cell for editing
  • Select multiple rows or columns and change their heights or widths by dragging or using the formatting tools
  • Lock row heights and column widths
  • Copy cells from Microsoft Excel and paste them into SolidWorks tables
