Sketch Picture PropertyManager

The Sketch Picture PropertyManager includes two pages, accessed by and  .

To see you must have Autotrace selected in Tools > Add-Ins.

From the Sketch Picture PropertyManager you can:

  • Insert sketch pictures onto either side of a sketch plane, and control the transparency of images.

Use transparency when two images occur on parallel planes to control the display of each image. Sketch picture transparency is not supported when the transparency intersects a second sketch picture that also includes transparency.

From the first page of the Sketch Picture PropertyManager, apply these parameters to insert pictures:

Properties

Origin X Position. Enter an X coordinate value for the origin of the picture.

Origin Y Position. Enter a Y coordinate value for the origin of the picture.

Angle. Enter a value in degrees. A positive angle rotates the picture counterclockwise.

Width. Enter a value for the picture width. If Lock Aspect Ratio is selected, the height adjusts automatically.

Height. Enter a value for the picture height. If Lock Aspect Ratio is selected, the width adjusts automatically.

Lock Aspect Ratio. Select to keep a fixed width and height aspect ratio.

Flip Horizontally. Click to flip the picture horizontally within its borders.

Flip Vertically. Click to flip the picture vertically within its borders.

Values in the Sketch Picture PropertyManager update automatically when you change the size or position of the picture in the graphics area.

Transparency

Select one of the following transparency types.

  • None. Use no transparency attributes.

  • From file. Keep the transparency attributes that exist in the file.

  • Full image. Select to set the whole image transparent.

  • User defined. Select a color from the image, define a tolerance level for that color, and apply a transparency level to the image.

If you select Full image:

Transparency. Move the slider to adjust the degree of transparency.

When the slider is set to 1, it indicates a 100% transparency.

If you select User defined:

Select a color from the image.

Matching tolerance. Move the slider to adjust the degree to which the color you selected is matched.

When the slider is set to 0, the transparency is applied only where the color matches the selected color exactly.

As you move the slider to the right, the matching tolerance increases (a less exact match is required), so transparency is applied to more shades of the selected color.

Transparency. Move the slider to adjust the degree of transparency.

When the slider is set to 1, it indicates a 100% transparency.

Click , and from the second page of the Sketch Picture PropertyManager, apply these parameters to convert raster data to vector data:
