You can repair a broken reference by replacing it with a reference to another file from the vault or a reference to a file that is outside the vault.
For example, you may not be able to locate a broken reference in the vault by using Find File. Instead, you can use Replace File to change the reference to point to a vault file with a different name, or search for the file outside the vault.
You can only replace one file at a time.
- Select a file with a broken reference.
- Click .
The Update Reference dialog box opens, listing all references and identifying those that are missing.
- Select a reference to replace and click .
- In the Replace File dialog box, browse to the file that will replace the broken reference.
- Click Open.
-

- In the Add Files to Vault dialog box, select the folder to add the file to.
- Click Next.
- Ensure that the file is being added to the correct location and click Finish.
