Adding Costing Information to File Properties

You can add Costing information to a part's file properties in the Summary Information dialog box.

  1. Run the Costing tool_costing_tools.gif tool to get the Estimated Cost Per Part.
  2. Click File > Properties.
  3. In the dialog box on the Configuration Specific tab:
    1. In Property Name, select an item such as Cost.
    2. In Type, select Text.
    3. In Value / Text Expression, select Calculated cost.

      Evaluated Value displays the Estimated Cost Per Part that was calculated by the Costing tool.

    4. Click OK.
