Item Folders

Item folders organize items into groups, which simplifies browsing and managing items.

Item folders are functionally the same as file vault folders. For example, you can set user and group permissions, define workflow notifications, and create data cards for item folders.

You create item folders from Item Explorer. All items folders are created under an Items root folder at the top of the vault.
  • The Items root folder is created the first time someone visits the vault from Item Explorer.
  • The Item Explorer Folders Pane does not display the Items root folder as a separate node. Top-level items and item folders are shown directly under the vault.
