Hide Table of Contents

Table Cell, Row, or Column Toolbar

You can use the table cell, row, or column toolbars to format Bill of Materials, Hole Tables, Revision Tables, Weld Tables, or Weldment Cut Lists.

To open the Table Cell, Row, or Column toolbar:

Click a table cell, row, or column.

Set these options from the toolbar:

Option Description
Font formatting Click Use document font Tool_font.gif to change the font format. You can apply the formatting to selected rows, columns, or to the entire table
Horizontal paragraph justification Aligns text to the cell. Click Left Align justify_left.png Button, Center Align justify_center.png Button, or Right Align justify_right.png Button.

Vertical paragraph justification Aligns text to the cell. Click Top Align align_vert_top.png Button, Middle Align align_vert_middle.png Button, or Bottom Align PM_text_justify_bottom.gif.
Text rotation Click Rotate PM_Text_Rotate.gif to rotate the text in 90° increments counterclockwise.

Fit text Click Fit Text Tool_FitText_Table_Format.gif to toggle fitting the text to the cell.
Merge Cells Click Merge Cells Drawings-Merge-Cells.gif to merge adjacent cells.
Unmerge a Cell Click Unmerge a Cell Drawings-Unmerge-Cells.gif to split a cell.
Equation editing Click Equation Tool_equations_sigmasum.gif to set up an equation in a cell. See Table Equation Editor.
Cell padding Type or select a new value for Horizontal or Vertical Cell Padding Tool_cell_padding.gif.
Column properties Click Column Property tool_columnproperty.gif to open the Column Properties menu for BOMs. Other table column properties are listed in the appropriate PropertyManager:
  • Revision Table Column PropertyManager
  • Hole Table Column PropertyManager
  • Weldment Cut List Column PropertyManager
Hide or show data Click Hide/Show tool_hide_show_row_column.gif. The pointer changes to pointer_hide_show_annotations.gif, and you can select rows or columns to hide or show. When you select the tool, any rows or columns that are currently hidden are highlighted in blue.

Click Table Header Top Tool_Table_Header_Top.gif or Table Header Bottom Tool_Table_Header_Botto.gif to position the table header above or below the rows.
