Help customization

Two types of dynamic help are available:
  • Quick Tips is a set of pop-up messages that provide hints and options based on the current SOLIDWORKS mode to help new users get started. Most of the messages display hyperlinks that flash the tools typically used for the next step, and point out informational messages.
  • Interactive What's New provides links to topics in the What's New manual about new menu items and new and changed PropertyManagers. The topics describe functionality added since the previous release of the SOLIDWORKS software, often including examples with sample files.

Select a dynamic help type, or select Do not show me any dynamic help.

To turn Quick Tips on or off:

  • In each type of document (part, assembly, and drawing), click Help > Quick Tips, or click .

To hide or show interactive What's New:

  • In a new menu or a new or changed PropertyManager, click or click Help > Interactive What's New .
