Saving New In-Context Components

You can specify the default behavior for saving new in-context components.

You can save new in-context components as:
External files The new component has its own part or assembly file so you can modify it separately from the assembly.
Virtual components The new component is saved internally in the assembly file as a virtual component.

To specify the default saving behavior:

  1. Click (Standard toolbar) or Tools > Options .
  2. On the System Options tab, click Assemblies.
  3. Select or clear Save new components to external files.
  4. Click OK.
