You can save the composite stack information in files with .csv or .txt extensions. You can then load the stack information for future use.
It is best practice to edit the composite stack information in the Shell Definition PropertyManager.
The following information is optional while loading the stack.
Header
Contains the description of the file.
Units
Contains the units for ply thickness. If you do not define the units, they are used from .
Stack is symmetric
Specifies whether the stack is symmetric about the mid-plane.
Angle of ply 2-n relative to ply 1
Specifies whether the ply angles of plies 2,3, ..., n are defined relative to ply 1.
The following information is required when loading the stack. You must create at least two rows of information for a meaningful stack definition.
Thickness
Column for ply thickness values.
Angle
Column for ply angle values. It is recommended to use angles within the -90° to 90° range.
Material
Column for material name of each ply as listed in the library. The format is <material library name>:<material name>. If you do not type the material library name or type it incorrectly, all libraries are checked. If multiple occurrences of material names exist, the first occurrence is used.
