Examples of Miter Flanges at 45º Angles

Example 1

Create a sheet metal part.

Select the edge near the endpoint at the start of the series of edges.

Correct Incorrect
Create a sketch for the miter flange. The sketch plane is normal to the first edge where the miter flange will be created.

Select edges for the miter flange in a continuous order. In this example, the left vertical edge, then the horizontal edge, then the right vertical edge were selected.

Alternatively, you can click Propagate Propagate.gif to select all of the edges tangent to the selected edge.

Example 2

Create a sketch for the miter flange.
