Importing and Exporting in Costing Templates

You can use Import and Export tools for Weld Bead, Fillet Bead, and Purchased Cost in a multibody template, as well as for all materials in the machining and sheet metal templates.

You can use Import to extract information relating to materials from a Microsoft Excel template into a blank or partially populated Costing template. You can use Export to transfer the information from a material tab to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.

The Update command is replaced by Import. When you use Import, new lines of materials and changed costs of previous lines of material are updated. New imported rows in the sheet are blue and updated fields are green.
