Displaying Decimal Values for Drill Hole Sizes

When specifying straight hole or slot sizes, you can display decimal hole sizes for letter, number, or fractional drill sizes.

You can display decimal sizes for straight holes or slots in the Hole Wizard Type PropertyManager, or the Hole Series (First Part) PropertyManager.

To open the Hole Wizard Type PropertyManager from a part, click Hole Wizard (Features toolbar) or Insert > Features > Hole > Wizard.

To open the Hole Wizard Type PropertyManager from an assembly, click Hole Wizard (Features toolbar) or Insert > Assembly Feature > Hole > Wizard.

To open the Hole Series (First Part) PropertyManager, from an assembly, click Hole Series (Features toolbar) or Insert > Assembly Feature > Hole > Hole Series.

To display decimal values for hole sizes from either PropertyManager:

  1. Select a straight hole or slot:
    • In the Hole Wizard Type PropertyManager, for Hole Type, select Hole or Slot PM_HoleWiz_slot.png.
    • In the Hole Series (First Part) PropertyManager, for Start Hole Specification, select Hole or Slot PM_HoleWiz_slot.png.
  2. For Standard, select one of the following:
    • ANSI Inch
    • DME
    • PCS
    • Progressive
    • Superior.
  3. For Type, select one of the following:
    • All Drill Sizes
    • Letter Drill Sizes
    • Fractional Drill Sizes
    • Number Drill Sizes
  4. Set other options and click ok.png.
