Locking Files

Models locked by you are indicated by , and models locked by another user are indicated by a . Hovering over a lock icon displays the user who has locked the model.

You can open models in a Collaborative Space that are locked by someone else, modify them, and save them on your computer. However, to save the files back to a Collaborative Space, you must either change the names of the files, or store them in another space that does not already have files with the same names.
To lock files in SOLIDWORKS and DraftSight:
  • In the Collaborative Sharing pane, hover over the file image, click the down arrow , and select Lock.
